Notes from the Archive: Sottsass designed this chair for Studio Alchimia, a design collaborative from the early 1980's that included work by Alessandro Mendini and Andrea Branzi. This chair and the initial collection designed by Sottsass focused on the use of plastic laminates as the overall surface material. The laminates were printed with new graphic patterns and revolutionized the possibilities in furniture design.
