Notes from the Archive: Designer Peter Bowles' brilliant idea to create lighting utilizing England's famed fine bone china, led him to owning a top porcelain factory in Stoke-on-Trent by 1990. Creating lights in porcelain involves a highly skilled, labor-intensive process that begins with raw clay and ends with biscuit firing, glazing, glossing and firing again.

The Drop One Series of pendant lamps includes a single bone china pendant and versions including an arrangement of six, nine and eleven pendants. This example is a  grouping of six, offering an elegant design with soft direct illumination and a warm translucent glow through each shade.
