Notes from the Archive: Nathalie Du Pasquier is best known as one of the founding members of Memphis and the designer of many of their amazing textile designs. George Sowden and Natalie Du Pasquier collaborated on numerous drawings of interiors, towns and cities expanding the view of Memphis design. Here Du Pasquier creates an animated pair of refuse containers, side by side, as if they are friends walking down the street together. The directional sign post design continues in the animated style. Both offer a ceremonial and totemic alternative to standard industrial products currently in use.
