Details: This is the original prototype shipped from Italy to be used as trade show sample for the new product introduction.  Only offered in this color variation for a limited amount of time. Purchased from an Alessi employee only sale. As prototypes, often in an early production stage, they could not be sold to the public, as testing had not been completed. This piece cannot be guaranteed as food safe. Identified on bottom as prototype. No longer in production. Excellent condition. Only one available.

Notes from the Archive: Chimu Bowl was the winner of Alessi's Memory Container Competition in 1990. Joanna Lyle went on to design extensive collections of objects for Alessi, including the Ovo range of egg-shaped containers.
