Notes from the Archive: Boaat was a range of kitchen products inspired by Japanese cuisine. Each bowl with corresponding lid, nests within the next larger bowl. Colors of lids related to the color of the interior of each bowl. Originally there was also a footed bowl offered as part of this collection designed by Starck. This set is the original prototype shipped from Italy to be used as the trade show sample for the new product introduction. Purchased from an Alessi employee only sale. As prototypes, often in an early production stage, they could not be sold to the public, as testing had not been completed. Identified on bottom as original showroom sample. As it is a prototype it is not guaranteed to be food safe.
