Notes from the Archive: Albert Paley's penchant for the simplicity and elegance of the Arts and Craft Movement of more than a century ago is seen in his design for this modern table lamp. The fabricated steel armature has detailed, notched edges, formally outlining the structure of the lamp. Added steel embellishments around the base, add his artistic signature as if almost drawing in steel. The clear glass shade at the top, reflects the rays of light coming from the top of the metal shade through the glass as a "corona" with a halo effect.  The frosted glass shade covers the glare from the light bulb from a lower perspective. A magnificent torchere for any table top or collection.
