Details: Edition of only 40. Hand made in the artist's studio, each varies slightly. Each stamped © ALBERT PALEY 1992 on base and numbered on underside 18/40 and 23/40. Deep black patina. Excellent condition. Brass bobeches with matte finish are removable for cleaning. 

Notes from the Archive: Paley's earliest forays into decorative arts included designs for candle holders. By the early 1990's they had evolved into elegant and poetic forms. Tendrils and ribbons seem effortless and ephemeral, yet are fabricated by hand in steel.  The pair are magnificent ornaments for domestic life for use on a mantle, sideboard or dining table. A remarkable find.
