Details: From the now closed restaurant, Cento Vini, owned by Murray Moss and Franklin Getchell, creator of the famous New York design store, Moss. In good working shape, although the leather upholstery shows signs of use. 

Notes from the Archive: Born Cesare Colombo but nicknamed "Joe", in his brief but brilliant career, he is remembered for his designs for the "environments of the future" and his search for new technologies and new solutions. Colombo designed the Birillo stool, which takes its name from the Italian word for "bar stool", during the development of his ambitious Visiona project to create an imaginary living space for the New Domestic Landscape exhibition at MoMA. Robust and versatile with swiveling seat and casters tucked neatly under its base, the Birillo stool was intended for use in fashionable 1970's offices, as well as bars. The Birillo is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York and Colombo's work is represented in numerous international museum collections.  This is an opportunity to own classic design by the great Joe Colombo, and the stool, itself, has an equally impressive pedigree.
