Notes from the Archive: Prior to his affiliation with the Peter Joseph Gallery, Wendell had used drawing primarily as a tool for development of ideas, and for presentation of those ideas to potential clients. His drawings and sketches, produced almost daily were often hung in the studio as pieces were constructed. However, the increased demand for works for works in all media led him to produce some more finished drawings and renderings as artwork in their own right, which he continues to do today.
