Details: Hand riveted, louvered steel shade is fabricated to prevent glare by diffusing light evenly. Upper stand is brass, main stand and base in brass are hand-covered in black leather. Black electrical cord 72" long with standard US plug. Fixture accomodates 100 watt E27 standard incandescent or 20W, E27 compact fluorescent. (Bulb not included.) This example probably manufactured in the last ten years, briefly used as the showroom sample in the Artek New York showroom. In very good condition. Only one available. No longer in production. 

Notes from the Archive: This lamp was originally designed for Helsinki's Social Insurance Institution Building in 1955. Nicknamed Angel Wing Lamp based on the shades' asymmetrical shape. We are particularly amazed by the high level of craftsmanship in the delicately constructed shade and the hand-covered leather stand. A sleek and sophisticated architectural element for any interior.
