Details: Designed in 1927 for an exhibition in Stuttgart after the war.  Incised on stainless steel leg: Knoll Studio Mies van der Rohe. Manufactured circa 2012. Not a knockoff or replica! Very good condition, with small issue under the seat near gusset that does not impact seating. 

Notes from the Archive: The MR Armchair was the first patented cantilevered chair design and Mies van der Rohe's first important design for a chair. After the war, the MR Armchair was, like Mies's Barcelona chair, produced in America by Knoll, from the 1950s on. The MR Collection of tubular steel furniture includes the MR chairs both a side version and this armchair, chaise lounge, and an adjustable chaise lounge.
