Notes from the Archive: Early experiments using welded metal rods are seen in Charles and Ray Eames 1948 design for La Chaise followed by the DCM and LCW chair series. The full size version of this table is only 10" high, but extremely versatile as the tables can be stacked, lined up or combined in groups.  They can be seen throughout the Eames House displaying their many collections and placed singly or in groupings. The Eames used these tables for a tea ceremony that included Isamu Noguchi and Charlie Chaplin as their guests. Here this charming miniature reminds us of the Eames' brilliant contributions to modern design. A very special collectible.
